Top Positive Employee Reviews Of CRST Trucking

  • It has been a life-changing journey to join the Gold Rush Team at CRST. My first two trips with my permanent co-driver were 2800 miles each, and the company has treated me incredibly well. I also have a fantastic DM who keeps me moving. I’ve been on the road for eight weeks total, including my training, and I haven’t taken any time off because I want to make the most money possible. I enjoy my job very much at CRST. I have a fantastic co-driver who I met in school, and we are both so thrilled to embark on this life adventure together!!!
  • amazing place to start in the field. There is an opportunity here if you want to work and complete your tasks. Thanks to my excellent driver manager, I never have a problem getting miles because he always has a load waiting for me before I’ve even finished with one. They have nice new equipment, but because I’m new, I have an older truck, which causes more truck problems. Nevertheless, they fix the truck when necessary with no issues. 90% of loads are That’s a nice drop and hook. Without any problems, every co-driver who requested home time had it granted. Like in any job, good pay comes with experience.
  • ok, I enjoyed working for CRST, but there are some things I’m worried about. thus i cant quite give them a 5 star rating.

I’ll start with the advantages and move on to the disadvantages.

First, they train new drivers. is good. could be better but not bad. going through this process, i learned how bad drivers slip through the cracks and get behind the wheel. but over all, that is a minority. they have a good vetting system in place.

All of the trucks that CRST uses have a small fridge and are Freightliners. they have a 30/28 day training session on the road where the trainer trans and evaluates your skills. doing this, it helps weed out bad drivers. and allows for the good drivers to match up with great teams. once your training is done, you pick your team driver. Finding a driver with at least two years of winter driving experience is advised if you’re new.

you are assigned a most fleet managers are excellent. and they assign your your routes. the When you call in, you must use your employee ID number even though FMs know you by name.

from here you look at the mechanics. i found while most seem to know what they are doing, some can give bad advice. if your not sure get a second opinion.

They are spread out across the USA. most have showers. and are clean. some well….

over all, i was happy with the company. the pay is lower than the national average. but being new, i felt it was a way to pay my dues for allowing them to give me my chance in trucking.

In contrast to solo drivers, team drivers are given more attention.

Top Negative Employee Reviews Of CRST Trucking

  • It was abundantly clear from day one that CRST was more of a boys’ club. When you apply for one of the many positions advertised by the company, you are informed that there are actually no openings; rather, a pool of candidates is being assembled in case any current employees are let go or resign. According to your supervisor, if they like you, they will find employment for you. No matter how hard you work, you will also be told that there is a very high turnover rate and that it makes no difference how many loads you have on the board. With those conditions, it’s not a place to succeed or thrive.
  • This place isn’t at all a great place to work for; make sure you pay them back even if they abandon you somewhere. They don’t pay for anything, and the ort and the pay checks; be glad I’ve ever seen a check over $300.
  • 1.Ineffective communication between drivers and dispatch. ( dispatch won’t mostly answer your drivers calls). 2. Never receive the 2500 miles per week that were promised. ( mostly driving bobtail, or short distance loads letting you wait in gas stations for 3 to 4 nights). 3. Orientation. (They only do this by promising you the best and giving you the worst.) 4. The absolute worst company you could ever hope to work for. CRST sucks!!
