High payload ratings, superior performance, and versatility are all features that electric pickup trucks have to offer. The GMC Hummer EV and Rivian R1T are just two examples of EV trucks that are even made to be extreme off-roaders.

Alpha Wolf
A California-based EV startup named Alpha Motor Corporation has unveiled its Wolf electric pickup truck. This is the third EV produced by the company; the other two are the Ace Coupe and Jax CUV.
This electric truck is more affordable than some of the upcoming models, including the Rivian R1T and the GMC Hummer EV. Without any tax breaks, the base price of the Alpha Wolf electric truck is $36,000. But this retro-looking electric truck is designed for those who don’t need more than two seats and like to stray from the path.
Both single-motor, front-wheel drive and dual-motor, all-wheel drive versions of the Wolf are available. A driving range of 250–275 miles and a towing capacity of 3,000 pounds are anticipated, according to the electric car manufacturer. There is no mention of the bed’s carrying capacity, but it is approximately the same length as most crew cab trucks and has a front trunk. A quick 6.2 seconds are needed for the electric truck to reach 60 mph.
The Wolf’s battery pack will likely be between 75 and 85 kWh in size, though it appears Alpha hasn’t decided yet or doesn’t want to reveal the precise size.
The Wolf is a good option for people who miss small trucks because it isn’t large enough to compete with any trucks that are currently on the market (it is only 188 inches long). It will only be 4 inches longer than the Canoo electric pickup, for comparison.
Atlis XT
No. 1 is the Atlis XT. 4 on this list, with a payload of 5,000 pounds, a towing capacity of 6,000 pounds, and a charging range of 300 miles. The starting price is less than average at $45,000.
Out of all the trucks on this list, the Atlis XT has the highest payload, the best charging range, an average starting price, and the lowest towing capacity.
The Atlis XT won’t be available to prospective buyers until the winter of 2022–2023 like some of the others.
Bollinger B2
The Bollinger B2 pickup truck’s starting price would be the same as that of the B1 SUV, the company said back in October 2019. Both would have cost $125,000, but plans fell through.
In a press release, CEO Robert Bollinger recently stated, “today we’re postponing [shifting our attention to fleets of commercial trucks and B1 and B2] development.” All people with reservations have received refunds.
Canoo Pickup Truck
The Canoo Pickup Truck is intended to be an alternative to the Volkswagen Transporter and the Dodge A100 in terms of electric vehicles, and from what we can tell, this may actually turn out to be the case once it enters the market.
It actually has a ton of design cues that we can’t wait to see for ourselves, like a cab-forward design that does away with a formal hood and a frontgate that resembles something from an 80s sci-fi film.
According to reports, the Canoo Pickup Truck should be available by 2023, if we’re lucky. Given that it has a 200-mile charging range, we can’t wait to test drive this model as soon as we get our hands on one.
Chevrolet Silverado EV
No. 1 is achieved by the Chevrolet Silverado EV. 2 in this ranking with a payload of 1,440 pounds, a towing capacity of 8,900 pounds, and a charging range of 400 miles. Its starting price of $30,400 is fair.
Of all electric trucks, the Chevy Silverado EV pickup truck has the best starting price, the longest charging range, and a respectable rating for towing ability. It drops to second place as a result of its payload, which, at 1,440 pounds, is the smallest of all the trucks.
Additionally, those who want to purchase the Chevrolet Silverado EV will have to wait. The anticipated spring 2023 release date has been set.
Fisker Alaska
Henrik Fisker seemed excited to share the rear perspective of a possible future Fisker pickup in a tweet with the caption “Electric pick up!”, but that tweet was quickly taken down.
We do, however, have a picture of the Fisker Alaska pickup truck. There are no details available because there was never any other mention of this potential future pickup truck.
Ford F-150 Lightning
Early in January, Ford unveiled its configurator for the 2022 F-150 Lightning pickup truck. Ford stated that the starting price for a commercial fleet model would be just under $40,000. Expect to spend close to $70,000 if you want a decently equipped version with leather seats. Regardless of price, all models will have a dual motor setup.
The new Lightning will feature a variety of unique features not found in other EVs or F-150s. The Lightning’s battery can serve as a backup power source for your home for up to 10 days in the event of a power outage.
Ford’s quickest pickup to date, the Lightning also has a startlingly fast zero to sixty time of just 4.4 seconds.
RAM 1500 Electric
You might be perplexed when you hear us describe this as a revolutionary new model, mainly because there are a lot of different electrified Ram ProMasters available in Europe.
However, you probably weren’t aware that while they are all for sale, none of them actually represent a Ram EV in the first place; rather, they are all just modified versions rather than the brand’s official EV.
Fortunately, they claim that by 2024 they will have officially introduced a Ram 1500 Electric model in an effort to completely displace their rivals Ford and GM.
Will they be successful, though? As far as we can tell, there is no reason to believe otherwise, especially given that the Ram 1500 EV is said to have a range of nearly 500 miles thanks to its battery packs, which contain up to 200 kWh.
Rivian R1t
With 920 vehicles delivered in 2021, Rivian became the first company to manufacture and market an electric pickup truck (again, disregarding 1990s compliance EVs). The brand has come a long way from its early production rates of just two cars per day to its current output of over ten vehicles per day. Although it still produces very little, this should change in the coming months.
For a starting price of $67,500, the base Rivian R1T Explore offers air suspension, 314 miles of range, and 835 horsepower. Off-road wheels, a full kitchen with a sink, and an upgraded battery pack with a 400-mile range are available extras. For roughly $10,000 less than a base Tesla Model X, you can get the R1T fully equipped with the 400-mile pack, camp kitchen, and upgraded wheels.
At a later time, the R1T will also be offered in a less expensive 250-mile version.
GMC Hummer EV

The GMC Hummer EV is the second-most expensive truck on our list, but it has a decent towing capacity, a good charging range, and a good payload. However, it is a little disorganized in our categories.
The GMC Hummer EV is expected to go on sale in the fall of 2022, so prospective buyers will also have to wait a while.
GMC Sierra EV
Although the GMC Hummer EV is a potent addition to the lineup, from what we can tell, it falls far short of the GMC Sierra EV, which is its sibling.
Despite the fact that we don’t know much about this car yet, we have a strong suspicion that it will completely dominate the market by 2023.
The fact that it will provide drivers with a seriously impressive 400 miles of range is something we do know, but everything else is still largely a mystery. We’re eager to see what they can do with the new Sierra model, so hopefully they won’t mess this up.

Hercules Alpha

The Hercules Alpha, which can tow 14,000 pounds and has a charging range of 300 miles, rounds out the top three. It has a payload of 2,500 pounds. $75k is the starting price, which is moderately steep.
The Hercules Alpha is one of the more expensive electric trucks entering the market, but it has excellent ratings for payload, charging range, and towing capacity.
The Hercules Alpha will not be available for purchase until the winter of 2022–2023, so prospective buyers will need to be patient.
Toyota Tacoma Ev
However, from what we can tell, we won’t be getting this car anytime soon, which is a real bummer. If we could, we would have this model much higher on our list.
We were all eager to see how far Toyota would go in their attempt to dominate this niche market because, let’s face it, they know how to make a damn good pickup truck. When they announced that they would be releasing an electric pickup truck, we were all eager to see how far they would go.
They didn’t say much about it other than the possibility that it is an improved version of the Tacoma model they previously released.
As far as we can tell, this electric pickup truck will be available as early as 2024. We’ll make sure to let you know as soon as it’s made public, though, so you can look at its specifications in greater detail.
Lordstown Endurance

The Lordstown Motors Endurance electric truck comes in first. 10 on this list with a towing capacity of 7,500 pounds and a charging range of 250 miles. These trucks have a $55,000 starting price, which is a midrange price.
The Lordstown Endurance receives average ratings for both its starting price and charging range, but it does not have the highest towing capacity among the trucks on our list. Furthermore, Lordstown Motors hasn’t yet made its payload available.
We moved it to the bottom of this category because we don’t know what its anticipated payload will be. On the basis of this ranking, it is the tenth-best electric truck. Potential buyers should anticipate it soon.
Tesla Cybertruck
The Tesla Cybertruck had to be brought up during the EV truck showcase, otherwise how could we? This is undoubtedly one of the most futuristic cars to ever be introduced, but we can’t help but love everything about it because it has such an odd appearance.
We are eager to see what the Tesla Cybertruck has to offer, even though it is currently more of an acquired taste. This vehicle is one of those that will go viral the moment it is actually released.
It was originally supposed to be launched as of 2022, but because of that “window fiasco” that The Cybertruck’s manufacturing line, of which Elon Musk was a part, was completely taken down from the website. But let’s hope it can be launched by 2023.
